We report the first results of nondisruptive, central fueling a tokamak by injection an accelerated spheromak compact toroid (CT). Interferometry measurements indicate plasma on fast time scale (0.5 ms), with more than 50% CT mass used for fueling. The particle inventory increased 30% without disruption.

Recombinant human beta ig-h3 was found to bind 125I-labeled small leucine-rich proteoglycans (SLRPs), biglycan, and decorin, in co-immunoprecipitation experiments. In each instance the binding could be blocked by an excess of unlabeled proteoglycan, confirming specificity interaction. Scatchard analysis showed that biglycan bound more avidly than decorin with Kd values estimated as 5.88 x 10(-8) 1.02 10(-7) M, respectively. reciprocal blocking experiments both inhibited others indicating...

Dynamic light scattering (DLS) is widely used for particle size determination in the sub-micrometer range. The utility of combining simultaneous multiangle DLS and static (SLS) obtaining more robust reproducible distributions has recently been demonstrated (Langmuir 1995, 11, 2480−2485). This approach yields excellent results but tedious demands high-quality SLS data which, turn, require a sophisticated photometer system. In this paper we investigate ways to improve further attractiveness by...

We report an investigation of the effect Aerosol OT on surface charge silica particles suspended in decane. The electrophoretic mobilities were measured using phase analysis light scattering, and supporting evidence was provided by conductivity adsorption isotherm measurements. results showed that, as concentration increased, a sign reversal mobility occurred. This observation is explained qualitatively site-binding model charging mechanism.

In particle size measurement with dynamic light scattering (DLS), it is difficult to get an accurate recovery of a bimodal distribution (PSD) peak position ratio less than ~2:1, especially when large particles (>350nm) are present. This due the inherent noise in autocorrelation function (ACF) data and scarce utilization PSD information during inversion process. this paper, ACF investigated. It was found that initial decay section contains more information, for PSD. Based on this,...

We propose two methods for inverting data and recovering PSDs when are apparent. One directly establish relationship between ACF PSD...
