In recent times, there have been notable changes in cardiovascular medicine, propelled by the swift advancements artificial intelligence (AI). The present work provides an overview of current applications and challenges AI field heart failure. It emphasizes “garbage in, garbage out” issue, where systems can produce inaccurate results with skewed data. discussion covers issues failure diagnostic algorithms, particularly discrepancies between existing models. Concerns about reliance on left...

Clopidogrel application before diagnostic or therapeutical percutaneous coronary intervention has become the standard for stent thrombosis prevention. Irreversible platelet inhibition causes increasing bleeding complications if urgent artery bypass grafting is necessary. This study evaluates effect on of clopidogrel in CABG using bilateral internal thoracic (ITA) and saphenous veins all patients. We retrospectively analyzed 128 patients (operated between January 2000 September 2002)...

It has been widely suggested that depression negatively affects patients with cardiovascular disease. There are several pathophysiological mechanisms as well behavioral processes linking and cardiac events. Improvements in nursing medical care have prolonged survival of this patient population; however, beneficial outcome led to increased prevalence depression. Since mortality rates chronic heart failure remain extremely high, it might be equally important screen for there valid reliable...

The occurrence of severe carotid artery disease in more than 12 % patients requiring CABG results a discrepancy concerning the best treatment for both diseases. We reviewed early outcome with and/or valve replacement and simultaneous endarterectomy (CEA).We evaluated retrospectively 244 operated simultaneously between 7/94 10/2001. 209 received CABG; 35 replacement. Mean age was 68 years. 188 were male. analyzed risk factors, morbidity, incidence neurological complications 30 day...

Objective. To evaluate the association of BNP and CRP with development postoperative atrial fibrillation following coronary artery bypass grafting surgery. Methods. The series consists 125 patients (aged 65 ± 9 years), who underwent isolated CABG-surgery. levels were measured pre- 24 hours postoperatively their correlation to AF was analyzed. Results. Forty-four (35%) developed postoperatively. They significantly older (68 8 versus 63 9, P = 0.01) predominantly nonsmokers (18% 46%, 0.004),...

Chronic kidney disease (CKD) and heart failure (HF) are interrelated conditions that exacerbate each other through mechanisms like fluid retention, neurohormonal activation, inflammation. Red blood cell distribution width (RDW), a measure of red size variability, has emerged as potential prognostic marker in HF. This study aimed to assess the value RDW HF patients, both with without CKD, focusing on all-cause mortality rehospitalizations.
