The climate change topic has been included at the framework curricular documents in Czech Republic since 2007 but who should teach about schools remains unclear. In 2011 we conducted a research on teachers' understanding of with questions focused how system works. upper-primary teachers performed significantly better than lower-primary and physics showed knowledge compared to rest teachers. Educational resources are missing Republic. We developed an on-line educational application modeling...
Climate literacy is crucial for future low-carbon living. A key question is: who should be educated in the basis of climate science and what level knowledge appropriate different ages pupils? We designed a three years course upper primary school order to improve population. have performed year testing improved curriculum at pilot school. The was grades 7 9 Czech educational system can modified other countries.
In order to better understand the effects of hydrogen incorporation and departure on defects disorder in undoped hydrogenated amorphous silicon (a-Si:H), we performed a comparative study samples deposited under different plasma conditions. We used combination IR absorption spectroscopy, electron-spin resonance, photothermal deflection constant photocurrent method, elastic recoil detection analysis measurements determine changes defect density disorder, as well concentration bonding modes,...
Ceramic-chromium Hall sensors represent a temperature and radiation resistant alternative to based on semiconductors. Demand for these is presently motivated by the ITER DEMO nuclear fusion projects. The developed ceramic-chromium were tested up of 550 °C magnetic field 14 T. magnitude sensitivity sensor was 6.2 mV/A/T at 20 4.6 500 °C. observed be weakly dependent above 240 with an average coefficient 0.014%/°C independent relative deviation below measurement accuracy 0.086%. A simulation...
The purpose of this study is to develop and validate a comprehensive methodology able offer appropriate topics into primary secondary school teaching, motivating students science technology. Our project based on concrete experimental activities with textile materials linked the daily life. To wake up pupils’ attention by means their positive emotional feeling encourage interest in curriculum, we prepared accompanying video clip illustrating practical applications acquired knowledge...
The increasing number of students in technical and natural sciences is contrast with the capacity student's laboratories. Moreover, rapid development computerized "remote" activities daily life requires training appropriate skills. Our project "Remote laboratory" able to partly solve both problems. It enables an access remote physical laboratories offering environmental experiments 24 hours a day via web interface from any computer.

The magnetic diagnostics of the ITER and DEMO reactors include Hall sensors to measure steady-state field. High temperature compatible neutron radiation-resistant based on an antimony-sensitive layer are being developed for this purpose. tests confirm linear dependence output voltage field stability sensors' sensitivity temperatures up 400 <inline-formula xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink"> <tex-math...
Computer literacy is one of the basic requirements on education for modern generation. Due to existence diverse groups ICT users, we can expect conflicts and misunderstanding between so-called digital immigrants natives. It appears Internet search engines serve as tools unifying both groups. The paper focused ways how change traditional approach when supported teaching applied. As a common platform used Google.com in our university course preparing teachers Vocational training.
As part of the International Atomic Energy Agency's (IAEA) Physics Section, Nuclear Science and Instrumentation Laboratory (NSIL) helps Member States (MSs) to establish, operate maintain various nuclear instrumentation spectrometry techniques in support a wide range applications such as health care, food, agriculture, environment, forensics, cultural heritage, materials science. NSIL is contributing capacity building, transfer knowledge expertise sharing, including development instruments...
The spectrometric systems, especially based on NaI(Tl) and HPGe detectors, are used for nuclide identification calculation of their activities from the ground measurements air-borne monitoring. determination air kerma (dose) rates is also very important environmental measurements. In such cases, detectors should be calibrated in nGyh?1 or ?Gyh?1. A simple calibration NaI(Tl), as well plastic low-level presented this contribution. This comparing relative absorbed energy rate (MeVs?1)...
Abstract In this research a new process of plasma oxidation crystalline silicon at room temperature is studied. The was carried out using Diffuse Coplanar Surface Barrier Discharge (DCSBD) operating in ambient air and oxygen atmospheric pressure. influence exposition time, parameters crystallographic orientation on oxidized layers their dielectric properties were investigated. Thickness, structure morphology these studied by ellipsometry, infrared absorption spectroscopy scanning electron...
The modeling of various phenomena is used mainly in technology and science. dynamic model, visualization with models animations make it easier for students to understand the examined problem. By changing one parameter small increments can observe changes entire system. Dynamic be present pupils results examples they would not able analytically calculate themselves. The contribution presents physics developed by means Hypertext Preprocessor PHP, particularly purposes upper primary schools.
