An attempt was made to compare the desorption behavior of surface oxygen complexes in an inert atmosphere with that O2-gasification atmosphere. For this purpose, transient kinetics (TK) switching 18O2 16O2 carried out and from TK experiment situ 18O2-containing evaluated during gasification. The thermal stability 18O remaining on carbon analyzed by temperature-programmed (TPD). In addition, O2 He done then observed under flow. It found is different O2. This finding indicates nongasification...
Abstract The solid state reaction between sodium tri‐titanate and carbonate, forming mainly pentatitanate, was investigated. Experiments were carried out in a micro‐differential reactor made of quartz glass at various temperatures 800°C 880°C pilot fluidized bed operated semi‐batch mode. In the former reactor, basic kinetic data obtained by measuring release carbon dioxide. Different models considered to describe conversion, such as Valensi‐Carter model for diffusion controlled rates...
Gasification of petroleum coke with metal hydroxide catalysts has been carried out in CO2 at 850°C a thermobalance. KOH is impregnated coke, and Ca(OH)2 fine particles FeOOH are separately mixed water, loading being 3wt% every case. Fixed carbon conversion excluding volatile matter was 7% 55% after 120min without Fe, respectively, it reaches 100% 60min 70min K Ca, respectively. Thus, Ca can promote the gasification remarkably. Initial rates per remaining as great 50 100 times that catalyst,...
In order to examine the feasibility of catalyst recovery from liquefaction residue, fundamental study on properties in residue was carried out by using XRD, SEM/XMA, XAFS and XPS techniques. Residues were obtained lt/d NEDOL PSU plant which uses Wandoan, Illinois Wyoming coals as feedstocks synthetic pyrite catalyst. Special attention has been paid interaction with mineral matter heavy organics coal. It found that converted pyrrhotite during covered organic materials can be removed treating...
