The evolution of South China involved accretion-collision multiple terranes from the Proterozoic to Mesozoic.Zircon U-Pb ages, Hf data, and structural data indicate that Cathaysia block consists two terranes, West East Cathaysia, separated by a newly recognized major strike-slip fault. We propose was part microcontinent originated Grenvillian-aged orogen in Rodinia supercontinent, an Indosinian-aged Paleo-Tethyan regime south translated east through motion, early Paleozoic Wuyi-Yunkai orogeny...

This paper presents petrographic and mineral chemistry data an inferred P-T path for the high-pressure pelitic granulites from Helanshan Complex in Khondalite Belt, a Palaeoproterozoic collisional belt along which Yinshan Ordos blocks joined to form Western Block North China Craton. Petrographic observation indicates that these experienced four metamorphic stages: early prograde (M~1~), peak (M~2~), post-peak decompression (M~3~) late retrograde (M~4~) stages. The assemblage (M~1~) is...
