π-Helical push-pull dyes were prepared and their (chir)optical properties investigated both experimentally computationally. Specific fluorescent behaviour of bis-substituted system was observed with unprecedented solvent effect on the intensity circularly polarized luminescence (CPL, dissymmetry factor decreasing from 10-2 to 10-3 an increase in polarity) that linked a change symmetry chiral excited state suppression interbranched exciton coupling. The results highlight potential CPL...

Sixteen wild Foeniculum vulgare Mill. populations native to Tunisia were investigated based on their phenolic profile of methanol extracts seeds. The antioxidant potential was evaluated using four model systems such us total capacity (TAC), DPPH-radical scavenging activity, ABTS test and reducing power assay (RPA). Results showed significant variations yields, polyphenol content (TPC), flavonoid (TFC) CTC (condensed tannin content). LC-MS analysis revealed the identification 26 compounds....

Chiral diketopyrrolopyrrole (DPP)-helicene polymers were synthesized to develop efficient red circularly polarized (CP) light emitters. These original chiral dyes display intense electronic circular dichroism (ECD) and CP luminescence (CPL) in the far-red spectral region owing presence of excitonic coupling between achiral DPPs within environment polymeric structure. This work affords an interesting example illustrating potential π-conjugated helical for optoelectronic applications.

Photodynamic therapy is a treatment modality of cancer based on the production cytotoxic species upon light activation photosensitizers. Zinc phthalocyanine photosensitizers bearing four or eight bulky 2,6-di(pyridin-3-yl)phenoxy substituents were synthesized, and pyridyl moieties methylated. The quaternized derivatives did not aggregate at all in water retained their good photophysical properties. High photodynamic activity these phthalocyanines was demonstrated HeLa, MCF-7, EA.hy926 cells...
