Growth and enzymes production by Aspergillus flavipes FP-500 were evaluated on pectin, polygalacturonic acid, galacturonic arabinose, rhamnose, xylose, glycerol glucose at different initial pH values. We found that the strain produced exopectinases, endopectinases pectin lyases. Exopectinases lyase to be basal levels as constitutive their was modulated available carbon source of culture medium stimulated presence inducer in medium. Endo-pectinase basically inducible only when used source....

Abstract Pectin is a widespread complex heteropolysaccharide contained in plants cell wall. The hydrolysis of this natural-occurring polymer an important process both food industry and pectin-rich wastewater treatment. Although pectin-degrading enzymes have been produced classically by microbial mold strains, production kinetics the involved endo- exo- pectinolytic still challenge industrial microbiology. In order to assess pectinases kinetics, strain Aspergillus flavipes FP-500 was grown...

Intra-aortic balloon pump via the axillary approach has been increasingly utilized to facilitate physical rehabilitation prior definitive heart failure therapy. There is a high risk of device fracture with loss arterial accessibility. Three cases are presented that demonstrate innovative arteriotomy hemostasis techniques for malfunctioning intra-aortic pumps. (Level Difficulty: Intermediate.)
