The present study investigates the formation mechanism of hollow SnO 2 nanofibers and form nanograin growth in nanofibers.SnO were fabricated by directly annealing electrospun polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP)/Sn precursor composite nanofibers. In this approach, an appropriate proportion PVP/Sn with co-solvents established a system to core/shell structure, then PVP was decomposed quickly which acted as sacrificial template keep fibrous structure there existed Sn precursor/SnO concentration gradient...

Neutron reflectivity (NR) and X-ray (XRR) were used to determine the structure composition of trivalent chromium process (TCP) films on aluminum alloy AA-2024. Two deposition methods developed: immersion electroassisted (EA) deposition. The EA method was designed guarantee a well-defined film with uniform minimum contamination from Al additives in precursor solution. Quantitative NR XRR analysis EA-TCP confirmed linear growth as function time. By analyzing both data as-prepared dried films,...

In this experiment, PAN/Fe3O4@CTAB magnetic nanofibers (average diameter of 386 nm) were prepared by electrospinning for the removal As(V) from an aqueous solution. Material characterization was analyzed using phase analysis X-ray diffraction (XRD), a Fourier transform infrared spectrometry (FTIR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), vibrating sample magnetometry (VSM), and thermogravimetric (TG), which demonstrated that nanoparticles successfully incorporated into fiber membrane. Batch...

Abstract Electrospun nanofiber membranes (ENM) made of polymers such as polysulfone and poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) have a much higher contact angle (CA) also more hydrophobic when compared to the virgin polymers. For water treatment applications, with hydrophilic nature are highly desirable in order achieve high flux less fouling potentials. Hence, present study, electrospun (ENMs) were prepared by blending PVDF polymer amphiphilic polyethylene‐block‐poly (ethylene glycol) (PE‐b‐PEG)...

Surface enhancement and coating are distinct methods that have long been developed for protecting metallic components from corrosion, erosion, wear in aggressive working environments. The former is to engineer the surface near-surface of base material towards desired performance improvements. In comparison, a deposit extrinsic materials with better-desired direct on material. Recent developments additive manufacturing rendered increased interest hybrid process coating. Here, we report...

In situ neutron reflectivity (NR) is used to observe the structure and evolution of a Trivalent Chromium Process (TCP) passive film on Al in NaCl-D(2)O solution. Using split liquid cell we mimicked corrosion process anodic sites alloy AA 2024-T3 pitting scenario. The separates cathodic reactions, allowing NR observation corroding surface under potential control. We observed TCP anode compared degradation with without protection. When held at 100 mV above open-circuit (OCP), unprotected...
