Knowing the value of a material's thermal conductivity as function temperature and water content is useful for fine-tuning prediction building energy performance or hygrothermal comfort. When performing measurements on moist insulating materials using steady-state methods, moisture transferred from warm to cold side sample. This results in release latent heat, which has potential impact accuracy measurements. The aim this study examine these transfers various hygroscopic during heat flow...

A non-insulated raw compressed earth brick test house was built and deeply instrumented in Sense-City equipment at Champs sur Marne, France. wide variety of sensors were deployed the room, inside walls outside to monitor hygrothermal behaviour, thermal comfort heating energy consumption. The measurement campaigns performed over several weeks during winter, spring summer seasons 2024. unoccupied exposed natural weather conditions. During winter tests, different scenarios considered. provided...

Hygromorph BioComposites (HBC) exhibit shape-changing actuated by a moisture content (MC) variation due to their bilayered bioinspired architecture. However, application in daily meteorologic is limited relative humidity (RH) and thermal couplings. This work aims investigate the role of temperature on shape changing 4D printed continuous flax fibres reinforced HBC so that ThermoHygromorph (THBC) are introduced.
