Abstract Calderas are collapse structures related to the emptying of magmatic reservoirs, often associated with large eruptions from long-lived systems. Understanding how magma is transferred a reservoir surface before major challenge. We model the location, geometry and density of source recent geological unrest at Campi Flegrei caldera (Italy) by inverting levelling, trilateration gravity measurements collected between 1980 1995. The best fitting for 1980–84 inflation is a horizontal penny‐shaped crack with 142 to 1115 kg/m 3 . deflation period (1990–95) vertical spheroid 902 1015 These results exclude intrusion magma, indicate migration fluid from hydrothermal system as cause ground deformation consequent unrest.

We use GPS measurements and block modeling to investigate the present‐day deformation of Adriatic region, whose kinematics within Nubia‐Eurasia plate boundary zone is not well constrained remains controversial. Block allows us compute rigid‐plate angular velocities while accounting for elastic strain accumulation along block‐bounding faults. Results suggest that a microplate (Adria) southern with Nubia Aegean domain may be located Apulia Escarpment Kefallinia fault. Geodetic data alone...

Valid and reliable public health data are becoming more difficult to obtain through random-digit dial (RDD) telephone surveys. As a result, researchers evaluating different survey designs (i.e., sampling frame mode combinations) as complements or alternatives RDD. A survey sample may cover segments of the target population in proportions that do not match those itself. The differences arise, for example, from sampling fluctuations, nonresponse, or because design was able to entire population. In such situations one can often improve relation between and by adjusting weights cases so marginal totals adjusted on specified characteristics, referred as control variables, agree with corresponding population. This operation is known raking ratio estimation...
