Abstract In this article, polycrystalline samples of Gd 3+ ion‐modified lead lanthanum zirconate titanate PLGZT : (Pb 0.94‐ x G d La 0.06 )(Zr 0.52 Ti 0.48 )O 3 ; = 0, 2, 4, 6, and 8% have been prepared by the sol‐gel autocombustion strategy. The structural properties were analyzed X‐ray diffraction profile ( XRD ), Fourier transform infrared spectra FT ‐ IR transmission electron microscopy TEM scanning SEM ). assigned to pure PZT perovskite tetragonal structure. Ag electrodes made on both...
An accurate method for modeling body shadowing in area networks (BANs) is presented, based on an efficient surface-based method-of-moments (MOM) solution. The allows the fields radiated by a transmit line current with arbitrary orientation (polarization) presence of lossy dielectric cylinder cross section to be computed high accuracy. due point source are then found using Fourier transform techniques. utility BAN demonstrated comparing measurements human subject performed compact chamber and...
Speech sensing is presented as a novel application of ultrawideband (UWB) technology, possibly improving synthetic speech and pathology allowing silent recognition. A finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) model for the human vocal tract compared to monostatic measurements, indicating that dynamics involving lips tongue can be identified. proof-of-concept recognition experiment also presented, showing even with very simple algorithm, high match rate achievable.

Three polyethylene/clay formulations (3%, 7% and 10%) were prepared by ultrasonic technique of polyethylene (PE) montmorillonite organically modified with imidazolium salt (OMC) in toluene as solvent. The PE/OMC nanocomposites characterised colour measurement atomic force microscopy (AFM). An intercalated, mixed intercalated–exfoliated delaminated structure different OMC content found. thermal stability flammability PE/clay measured thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) cone calorimetry. Frequency modulated continuous wave (FMCW) radar is a solution for range and velocity measurement of target. This paper introduces simulation methodology RF front-end transceiver FMCW system including the target model. The proposed model can incorporate realistic design conditions such as voltage controlled oscillator phase noise. The has been applied to 2.45 GHz with single antenna transmitting receiving waves using Advanced Design System (ADS) package from Agilent.Various values are employed...
This work investigates using the spatially varying Green's function of an idealized body to provide a model that is independent antennas and scattering environment. paper considers lossy infinite circular cylinder for body, but generalized include arbitrary source observation polarization. Additionally, measurements are performed in compact anechoic chamber with non-resonant short monopoles, better approximating ideal point current field sensor. The results indicate simple adequate certain...
A circular patch antenna with guided ground plane is presented in this paper. This designed to cover the Federal Communication Commission (FCC) bandwidth for ultrawideband (UWB) applications (3.1-10.6 GHz). The compared truncated plane, indicating that radiation pattern more directive especially at higher frequencies. Also, return loss some frequency ranges are better than 15 dB between 3 GHz and 10 GHz.
Ultra-wideband (UWB) technology has been identified as an attractive solution for certain biomedical sensing applications due to its safety, no requirement of physical contact, real-time capability, and low cost. This work considers UWB human speech production, potentially allowing significant improvements in synthetic pathology, recognition. Results a simple recognition experiment are presented. A multi-section cylindrical waveguide model is proposed approximate the vocal tract future...

A flat-face circular waveguide model for the human head is presented ultrawideband (UWB) speech sensing application. The compared with a detailed and monostatic measurements, indicating that vocal tract dynamics can be sensed simple models are likely to sufficient.
Abstract The change in attenuation of longitudinal ultrasonic waves has been measured as a function frequency and temperature for styrene–butadiene‐rubber (SBR) mixed with Ismacorr 141 plasticizer antioxidant. Analysis the results showed relaxation processes activation energies these were calculated found to be related plasticization samples. Also velocity through different samples was measured. effect on physical mechanical properties SBR also studied.
