In this study, a unique magnetic molecularly imprinted polymer (MMIP) adsorbent towards bisphenol A (BPA) as template molecule was developed by bulk polymerization using β-cyclodextrin (β-CD) co-monomer with methacrylic acid (MAA) to form MMIP MAA-βCD new adsorbent. β-CD hybridized MAA obtain water-compactible imprinting sites for the effective removal of BPA from aqueous samples. Benzoyl peroxide and trimethylolpropane trimethacrylate were used initiator cross-linker, respectively. The...

A novel approach in simultaneous extraction of two basic dyes, malachite green (MG) and methylene blue (MB) from an aqueous solution was performed by using a batch reactor consisting polymer inclusion membrane (PIM). The PIM is made up poly(vinyl) chloride (PVC) as the base polymer, bis-(2-ethylhexyl) phosphate (B2EHP) extractant dioctyl phthalate (DOP) plasticizer. optimized conditions for both dyes were identified varying composition PIM. It found that optimum with PVC 35% wt% (m/m): B2EHP...

Molecular simulation techniques are important to study the understanding of chemical and physical properties any material. Computational modeling is considered as time reducer in finding best recipes for Molecularly-Imprinted Polymers (MIPs). In this study, Pyrogallol-imprinted polymers (PIP) non-imprinted (NIPs) were synthesized via precipitation polymerization using Pyrogallol (Py), methyl methacrylate (MMA), divinylbenzene (DVB) template, functional monomer cross-linker, respectively. The...
