The purpose of this paper is to guide lectors in the extraction algal (microalgae and seaweeds) compounds using supercritical carbon dioxide (SC-CO2) from dry biomass. It proposes a review ∼30 articles dealing with SC-CO2 molecules interest microalgae seaweeds. Among these papers, ∼20 are devoted microalgae. most extracted neutral lipids antioxidants. Several operating conditions have been tested: pressures 7.8 70 MPa, temperatures 313.15 349.15 K, CO2/algae mass ratio 6 500. All studies...
Supercritical fluid extractions (SFE) from BAL 150 asphaltenes were achieved with carbon dioxide as solvent under various experimental conditions (pressure, temperature, extraction time, and presence of cosolvent). SFE yields between 5 12% total asphaltenes. Extracts contained mainly linear alkanes (with chain lengths ranging C14 to C30), branched alkanes, a multitude complex cyclic shown by the GC/MS chromatograms. Many aromatic hydrocarbons, heteroaromatic compounds their methyl...
Abstract To evaluate the potential recovery rate of volatile terpenes from pulp mills, different extraction methods were performed on fir, spruce and maritime pine, extracts analyzed by gas chromatography-flame ionization detector/mass spectroscopy (GC-FID/MS). The results obtained traditional solvent in Soxhlet accelerated (ASE) ® apparatus compared with those steam distillation technology (Clevenger), supercritical CO 2 (SC-CO ) was also tested as an interesting alternative to liquid...
