We studied natural killer (NK) activity and lymphocyte subsets in 11 active parenteral heroin abusers, long-term methadone-maintained former abusers apparently healthy individuals. All subjects were males aged 23 to 49 none had infectious or inflammatory diseases. current seronegative for antibody human immunodeficiency virus. The methadone maintenance patients socially rehabilitated not abused drugs parenterally at least 10 years. NK was determined by a standard Cr-release cytotoxicity...
This paper proposes a Barker coded excitation for defect detection using infrared non-destructive testing. Capability of the proposed scheme is highlighted with recently introduced correlation based post processing approach and compared existing phase analysis by taking signal to noise ratio into consideration. Applicability has been experimentally validated on carbon fiber reinforced plastic specimen containing flat bottom holes located at different depths.
Thermal non-destructive testing and evaluation of glass flbre reinforced plastic materials has gained more importance in aerospace industry due to low weight high strength capabilities severe environmental conditions. More recently, pulse compression favorable non-stationary excitation schemes have been exhibiting reliable defect detection infrared testing. This paper introduces a novel method based on quadratic frequency modulated thermal wave imaging with for characterization materials....
This letter proposes an optimal nondestructive subsurface defect detection method to investigate the capabilities of infrared thermography through a finite-element analysis-based model. A analysis (FEA) software was used generate models and carried out using MATLAB software. Pulse compression approach has been introduced for its advantages limitations are compared with existing phase approach-based thermography. Investigations on simulated plain carbon steel specimen flat bottom hole defects...
Phase-based methods of active thermographic studies provide deeper subsurface details and reduce non-uniform emissivity problems in defect detection. In this contribution analysis anomalies has been carried out by probing a suitable frequency component with sufficient energy. This paper highlights the comparative different schemes on basis supplying equal energy to chosen used for given carbon fiber-reinforced plastic sample experimentation. Experiments have find detection ability excitation...

An autopsy case of disseminated, miliary-type, composite adenocarcinoma and carcinoid tumor associated with adrenocorticotropic syndrome is discussed. Prostatic origin functional activity were demonstrated by immunohistochemical techniques. Of interest in this that the had characteristics amine precursor uptake decarboxylation (APUD) cells also kept antigenicity its prostatic origin. The APUD system perhaps should be considered as one form differentiation different rather than an exclusive...
In contrast to the normal adult liver, fetal human and rat livers, liver of rats with cholestasis secondary bile duct resection (BDR) express preproenkephalin (ppENK) mRNA, which codes for endogenous opioid peptide Met-enkephalin. addition, Met-enkephalin immunoreactivity (MEIR) is detected in hepatocytes proliferating ductules cholestatic liver. These data suggest that associated resurgence cells produce To explore further status opioids cholestasis, we studied expression MEIR tissue.The...
The active thermal nondestructive testing and evaluation method is a rapidly growing procedure for quick remote inspection fibre‐reinforced plastics. Conventional modulated lock‐in thermography significantly contributed to this field by allowing usage of low peak power controlled stimulations followed phase based detail extraction procedures. But demand repetitive experimentation required depth scanning the test object limits its applicability realistic critical applications demands...
This paper proposes a novel post processing modality to enhance depth resolution in frequency modulated thermal wave imaging using chirp Z transform. It explores the spectral zooming feature of proposed and validates it through experimentation carried over carbon fiber reinforced plastic mild steel specimens. Further, defect detection capability has been compared with that other contemporary modalities by taking signal noise ratio into consideration.
Various stimulation mechanisms and supportive processing techniques promote infrared thermography (IRT) as a powerful tool for inspecting various industrial objects, such composites, metals coatings. Frequency-modulated (FMT) is one scheme offering superior depth scanning resolution capabilities. However, noise non-uniform thermal backgrounds make defect detection challenging in thermography. Recent post-processing advancements following NDT 4.0 adapt machine learning deep learning-based to...
Abstract An important development in the field of thermographic study is application convolutional neural networks (CNNs) to characterize subsurface abnormalities using quadratic frequency-modulated thermal wave imaging. This technology greatly improves accuracy identifying flaws by utilizing deep learning techniques, which makes it very useful for a variety industrial applications cantered on material integrity evaluation. In this study, we present new post-processing modality based...
Angiographic diagnosis of an intracerebral aneurysm in a neonate was made on the 13th day life following persistent neurological symptoms that began at birth. Rupture probably occurred within first life. This unusual condition should be considered newborn infants with unexplained signs or intracranial hemorrhage.
Vein tumors are rare, difficult to diagnose, and usually malignant. We have encountered three: a leiomyoma of the jugular vein leiomyosarcomas saphenous inferior vena cava (IVC). The was lost follow-up, leiomyosarcoma survived nine years, IVC is six months without recurrence. Half venous arise in IVC, predominately women over 50 years age. Surgical excision treatment choice since malignant or benign status cannot be determined operatively. Resection should include segment original vessel....
Active thermal non-destructive testing (TNDT) methods utilise an acquired surface temperature profile over the object and subsequently process obtained data to detect or sub-surface features of object. Presently, two phase-based conventional active TNDT are predominantly in use: pulsed phase thermography (PPT) modulated lock-in (LT). This paper highlights correlation processing-based detection capabilities frequency wave imaging techniques through finite element modelling simulations on a...
