The purpose of this study was to estimate the health burden imposed by Lyme disease (LD) in Maryland during 1992 and 1993. A cross-sectional 1-in-1S survey physicians (total, 1200) conducted incidence diagnosed LD, presumptive cases patients with tick bites, diagnostic tests ordered for LD. Results show that LD is underreported 10- 12-fold Maryland, 80% are managed primary care physicians, there discordance between actual clinical treatment recommended approach. In addition, much greater...
Abstract Background The impact of occupational noise exposure on various diseases, including ear and cardiovascular has been studied extensively. Nevertheless, the connection between osteoarthritis (OA) rheumatoid arthritis (RA) remains largely unexplored in real-world scenarios. This study assessed association prevalence two types arthritis. Methods used database data from 2005 to 2012 2015–March 2020 prepandemic National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) related Multivariate...
ABSTRACT Objective To explore the association between smoking, genetic susceptibility and early menopause (EM) clarify potential mechanisms underlying this relationship. Design An observational Transcriptome‐wide analysis (TWAS) study. Setting UK Biobank public summary statistics. Population 139 869 women with full baseline data, no gynaecological surgery history. Methods Adjusted modified Poisson regression models were developed to determine smoking risk effects on EM. TWAS was used...
Gout stands as a prevailing manifestation of inflammatory arthritis. While it is linked to several well-established risk factors, the associations between lipid profiles and gout remain unclear.
