The Depressed River Mussel (Pseudanodonta complanata) is a highly threatened bivalve species. Distributed across Europe, this species still poorly investigated in terms of population genetics. In study, we describe for the first time eight microsatellite loci that were developed based on previously published set markers Duck (Anadonta anatina).
The depressed river mussel Pseudanodonta complanata (Rossmässler, 1835) is an endangered freshwater bivalve with sparse distribution across Europe. Despite its high conservation priority, available data on the current population genetics and biogeography of P. are very limited. In this paper, we studied genetic diversity differentiation based newly sequenced COI ND1 gene fragments, sequences from NCBI GenBank. We discovered a localized highly divergent lineage in Don River basin widespread...
The Far Eastern freshwater mussel Sinanodonta lauta has recently been recorded in European Russia outside of its native range. As an invasive species affecting ecosystems, this is still poorly investigated many aspects, including population genetics. In study, we describe for the first time eight microsatellite loci that were developed based on a previously published set markers Chinese Pond Mussel (Sinanodonta woodiana).
