This study tested the hypothesis that antinociceptive effects of galanin and its receptors in nucleus accumbens (NAc) rats with inflammatory pain provoked by subcutaneous injection 0.1 ml 2% carrageenin into sole rat's left hindpaw. The hindpaw withdrawal latencies (HWLs) response to thermal mechanical stimulation significantly decreased bilateral hindpaws at 3 4 hour after a carrageenin. However intra-NAc 2 nmol, but not 1 nmol markedly induced an increase HWLs dose-dependent way. Western...
Galanin and galanin receptors (GalRs) have been reported to be involved in the transmission modulation of nociceptive information central nervous system (CNS). However, underlying mechanism antinociception GalRs neuropathic pain remains unclear. This study investigated induced by receptor 1 (GalR1) via protein kinase A (PKA) signaling pathway nucleus accumbens (NAc) rats with pain. mononeuropathy model was replicated ligation left sciatic nerve, following which expression phospho-PKA (p-PKA)...
