Among four crude oil-degrading fungi strains that were isolated from a petroleum-polluted area in the Rumaila oil field, two showed high activity aliphatic hydrocarbon degradation. ITS sequencing and analysis of morphological biochemical characteristics identified these as Penicillium sp. RMA1 RMA2. Gravimetric gas chromatography remaining culture medium after 14 days incubation at 30 °C RMA2 degraded by 57% 55%, respectively. These reduced surface tension when cultured on (1% v/v) exhibited...

Summary Overcoming lignocellulosic biomass recalcitrance, especially the cleavage of cross‐linkages in lignin–carbohydrate complexes (LCCs) and lignin, is essential for both carbon cycle industrial biorefinery. Lytic polysaccharide monooxygenases (LPMOs) are copper‐containing enzymes that play a key role fungal oxidative degradation. Nevertheless, comprehensive analysis showed LPMOs from white‐rot fungus, Pleurotus ostreatus , correlated well with Fenton reaction were involved degradation...

Abstract Background The efficiency of biological systems as an option for pretreating lignocellulosic biomass has to be improved make the process practical. Fungal treatment with manganese (Mn) addition improving fractionation and enzyme accessibility were investigated in this study. broad-spectrum effect was tested on two different types feedstocks three fungal species. Since physicochemical structural properties main changes caused by degradation, detailed characterization features...

Photoacoustic spectroscopy (PAS) based gas sensors with high sensitivity, selectivity, zero background signal and real-time online monitoring are desirable in energy, environment medicine. However, the stability accuracy of PAS decreased due to resonant frequency shift photoacoustic cell, which is caused by finesse cell temperature variety. In this paper, we propose a measurement method on linearly swept wavelength modulation tracking demodulation track scan response obtain directly quickly....
