Abstract Finding a suitable plasticizer for polylactide (PLA) is necessary to overcome its brittleness and enlarge range of applications. In this study, commercial PLA was melt‐blended with new plasticizer, an ethylene glycol/propylene glycol random copolymer [poly(ethylene glycol‐ co ‐propylene glycol) (PEPG)] typical number‐average molecular weight 12 kDa content 78.7 mol %. The thermal properties, crystallization behavior, mechanical properties the quenched blends after storage 2 months...

It is difficult to collect the crack propagation signal under general continuous welding condition due other interference of molten pool. In order study effect residual stress on propagation, acoustic emission technology was successfully applied monitor process according characteristics pulsed laser welding. Crack free achieved by reducing pulse interval limited size single spot. The monitored synchronously high speed photography and emission, evidence after solidification weld captured.

Abstract Two kinds of polylactide (PLA) which was named PLA1 with L ‐lactide content 98% and PLA2 88% were blended poly(ethylene glycol‐ co ‐propylene glycol) (PEPG) in a batchwise mixer pressed into films. The effect annealing on the thermal properties, crystallization behavior, mechanical properties quenched blends studied by means differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), dynamic analysis (DMA), polar optical microscopy (POM), tensile tests. PEPG miscible two PLA blend composition range...

Abstract A series of linear polyurethane (PU) elastomers containing various amounts (ca. 2–10 wt%) a diol‐functionalized polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (diolPOSS) were synthesized from organic solvent dispersions. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy was used to characterize the chemical structure diolPOSS‐reinforced PU. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) indicated that diolPOSS aggregation formed in polymer matrix at scale 20–50 nm. The introduction into such system led high...

Abstract Enhancing the stability of plasticized poly( L ‐lactic acid) (PLLA) with poly (ethylene glycol) (PEG) is necessary for its practical application. In this study, PLLA (PLLA/PEG 80/20 wt/wt) was crosslinked under γ‐ray (Co 60 ) in presence triallyl isocyanurate (TAIC) as crosslinking agent. FTIR analysis revealed that PLLA, PEG, and TAIC formed a cocrosslinking structure. Crystallization behavior mechanical properties were investigated by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC),...

The discrete BVP oscillator obtained through the Euler method is investigated, and also first proved that there exist chaotic phenomena in sense of Marotto's definition chaos two-period cycles. And numerical simulations not only show consistence with theoretical analysis but exhibit complex dynamical behaviors, including ten-periodic orbit, a cascade period-doubling bifurcation, quasiperiodic orbits intermitten's chaos. computations Lyapunov exponents confirm existence behaviors.

Abstract In this study, plasticized polylactide (PLA) was prepared by blending PLA with high stereoregularity and poly(ethylene glycol-co-propylene glycol) (PEPG) in a batch wise mixer pressed into films. The influence of annealing temperature on the thermal properties tensile quenched investigated DSC, DMA tests. It found that after cold crystallization can keep its flexibility an elongation at break over 300% choosing proper temperature. difference morphology formed different thought as...

Abstract Polyurethane elastomers (PUEs) based on 4,4′‐diphenylmethane diisocyanate (MDI), 1,4‐butanediol (BDO) and two kinds of aliphatic polycaprolactone (PCL) diols with molecular weight 1000 Da 2000 have been synthesized melt‐blended polycarbonate (PC). The compatibility PC PUEs was investigated by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA) electron microscopy (SEM). results indicated that the glass transition temperature ( T g ) decreased 0–40°C when 0–10...
