The flame-retardant properties and impact fracture toughness for the polypropylene (PP) composites filled, respectively, with intumescent flame retardant (IFR) nanometer calcium carbonate/polyolyaltha olefin were measured in present paper. It was found that limited oxygen index increased nonlinearly, whereas horizontal combustibility rate decreased increasing IFR weight fraction (ϕIFR). smoke density rank ϕIFR. values of both V-notched Izod strength Charpy higher than those unfilled PP; they...

Abstract The melt strength behavior and drawability during elongation flow of low density polyethylene (LDPE)/linear (LLDPE) blends were investigated using the Rheotens test method under temperature ranging from 160 to 200 °C die extrusion velocity varying 9 36 mm/s. It was found that blend decreased with a rise while increased increasing LDPE weight fraction when extension rate or drawing ratio is constant; dependence on roughly obeyed Arrhenius equation; index equation. at fracture...

Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) and its decalin suspension were subjected to several industrial processes including swelling, dissolving, spinning, drying, multi-stage high-ratio hot drawing fabricate UHMWPE fibers (UPE fibers). The morphologies architectures of the UPE at different stages characterized by polarizing optical microscope (POM), scanning electron (SEM) atomic force microscopy (AFM). aggregation structure evolution macromolecules during hot-drawing process was...
