In the frame of Next Generation Europe program, EU program to boost after-covid recovery, Italian Minister University and Research has funded a project called IRIS (Innovative Infrastructure for applied Superconductivity). New laboratories will be built or upgraded in six poles: Milan (hub infrastructure), Genoa, Frascati, Naples, Salerno Lecce, carry out basic research on magnetism superconducting materials, test wires, tapes large current cables, magnets construction with advanced...
A new simple method for the in situ measurement of surface transfer impedance coaxial cables is described. The based on injecting a disturbing current onto outside test cable and measuring corresponding voltage induced center conductor. It shown to produce reliable results at frequencies up 150 MHz with use 1-m length cable. ©1996 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
