Abstract Earthquake early warning systems are very important in mitigating more severe damage from earthquake events. Therefore, the analysis of signals is essential to obtain precise and accurate timing stations Indonesia. In this work, we have systematically investigated time arrival P-wave signal accelerometer West Java region, which measured 2009 2023 with magnitudes varied M 4.0-to 7.3. We carefully filtered raw data by using a Butterworth highpass filter cut-off frequency 0.075 Hz...

An earthquake with a magnitude of M4.8 struck Sumedang, West Java, on December 31, 2023, at shallow depth 5 km. This study analyzes strong ground motion data from five nearby accelerograph stations (CSJM, TSJM, TOJI, ACBM, BALE) to evaluate the patterns Fourier amplitude spectra, spectral response acceleration (PSA), and their implications for building periods. The results reveal significant relationship between station's distance epicenter, local geological characteristics, earthquake's...

Abstract There were two fairly destructive earthquake phenomena in 2018 of M 6.4 and 7 at East Lombok District. However, severe damage occurred the West District, Mataram City, North District where three locations far from epicenter. This proves that potential for infrastructure does not only depend on magnitude source distance, but rather presence local site effects. study aims to determine dynamic characteristics soil distribution Peak Surface Acceleration (PSA). The method used are HVSR...

Estimating magnitude completeness (Mc) value and its uncertainty of earthquake catalog within 1,000 km West Kalimantan Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) potential site has been performed. Three catalog-based methods were used to acquire Mc value, namely Maximum Curvature (MAXC), Goodness-of-Fit Test (GFT), by b-value Stability (MBS) methods. Considering the Mc, we utilized Monte Carlo bootstrap approach using 3,000 samples. MAXC was found have lowest 4.7Mw±0.02 for entire year range. Temporal...
