Introduction. Defects that remain after MMS cannot always be repaired immediately. When closure is not feasible, wounds are left to heal by secondary intention and may take weeks close. In such cases, the use of an allograft stimulates endogenous wound healing pathways desirable. Objective. A 43-year-old woman presented with an anorectal mass at which time excision was performed, and biopsy revealed mucosal melanoma (AM), anal subtype. Postexcision, 18F-FDG PET/CT identified residual melanoma, confirmed on biopsy. Recurrence monitored every 3 months using 18F-FDG, a perirectal lymph node 2.5 years later positive for metastatic melanoma. Given the rarity of AM often delayed diagnosis, patients present metastases, resulting in poor prognosis. This unique case prolonged survival 7...

As malignancy suspected, the patient underwent MRI and 18 F-FDG PET/CT staging. Multiple ultrasound guided biopsies were then performed of breast, axillary lymph nodes, cervical nodes. Final pathology negative malignancy, but final cultures grew Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Tb). The initially intolerant to frontline...
