Abstract A temperature and acoustic impedance simultaneous sensor based on forward stimulated Brillouin scattering (FSBS) in highly nonlinear fiber (HNLF) with high sensitivity accuracy is proposed demonstrated this paper. High-order modes (HOAMs) are used to achieve individual or measurement of the two parameters. Transverse waves (TAWs) involved FSBS process can efficiently sense mechanical environmental changes outside cladding, which will be reflected a linear shift resonance frequency....

Three-dimensional feature description for a local surface is core technology in 3D computer vision. Existing descriptors perform poorly terms of distinctiveness and robustness owing to noise, mesh decimation, clutter, occlusion real scenes. In this paper, we propose descriptor using point-pair transformation histograms (PPTFHs) address these challenges. The generation process the PPTFH consists three steps. First, simple but efficient strategy introduced partition sets on into four subsets....

This paper presents preliminary experimental results of non-equilibrium plasma assisted combustion low BTU fuels. The air flow and the fuel are separated by two co-axial tubes in which is excited dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) plasma. A non-premixed simple jet flame observed immediately when DBD plasma-excited mixed with flow. measurements indicate that addition a very small amount energy form can provide self-ignition harsher conditions contrast to usual spark ignition, significantly...

This paper presents the design and construction process of a 148° swivel for curved bridge with radius 60 meters.Due to small bridge, there is significant imbalance moment during swivel. Therefore, in structural design, measures such as pier-beam connection, installation high-strength prestressed anchor rods, pre-eccentricity setting structure, filling iron sand concrete inside box beam at top pier are adopted balance moment. Both curve angle set world records construction.

We introduce Bond, a proprietary deformation system able to load geometry data directly from Pixar™ Universal Scene Description (USD) and compute complex chains on the GPU using NVIDIA® CUDA®. Bond also integrates tightly with Autodesk Maya®. This follows our work integrate USD into animation pipeline [Baillet et al. 2018].

A lobed swirl injector was tested to examine its potential in combustion control for non-premixed and partially premixed flames. It found the experiment that flame derived from changed between attached detached flames at different conditions, demonstrating a promising way combustion. When air is supplied through external channel of fuel passes internal channel, stable lifted established above exit. With increase airflow rate, lift-off height decreases gradually until it reattached injector,...

As common industrial raw materials, malachite green (MG) and Cr(Ⅵ) generally coexist in waste liquids discharged from the paper printing, leather, textile industries, causing serious harm to humans environment. Therefore, developing an effective method for synergistic removal of MG aquatic environments is great research value. In this work, non-homogeneous Fenton-like catalysts, namely, EDDS-Silica EDDS-Co2+-Silica were successfully prepared using ethylenediamine disuccinic acid (EDDS)...

Abstract Recent theoretical verification of self-similar and dissipative pure-quartic solitons (PQS) emphasized the similarity between PQS lasers conventional fiber lasers, but unique equilibrium mechanism hinders formation molecules in normal fourth-order dispersion (FOD) regimes. In this paper, we investigated effect filters on shaping PQSs at FOD based a passively mode-locked laser model. The bandpass filter eliminates time pedestal PQSs, thus realizing multi-pulsing state. When bandwidth...

Taking the thiazide cationic dye methylene blue (MB), triphenylmethane crystal violet (CV), monoazo red 46 (R-46), and polycarboxycyanine rosé FG (P-FG) as research objects, adsorption behaviors of a self-made corn straw modified adsorbent HQ-DTPA-I for dyes were investigated in depth. Under optimized conditions, can quickly adsorb most within 3 minutes reach equilibrium 15-20 minutes. The removal rates HQ-DCPA-I to MB, CV, R-46 AP-FG 95.28%, 99.78%, 99.28% 98.53%, respectively. This paper mainly focuses on reliable ignition and flame stabilization of low-BTU gas fuels with non-equilibrium air plasma assist. The results experimental numerical analyses indicated that the propagation speed was increased while time decreased by effect plasma. Active radicals observed in made great efforts to generation OH radical which can accelerate fuel oxidation process greatly.
