Leishmaniasis, a chronic vector-borne disease caused by parasites of the genus Leishmania, presents diagnostic challenges. Conventional methods struggle with accurate visualization these parasites. Immunostaining CD1a has demonstrated effectiveness in visualizing Leishmania parasites, particularly Old World. However, application immunostaining Colombian leishmaniasis remains unexplored.
