Tracking trajectories of the unconnected vehicles contributes to improvement traffic efficiency and safety. However, effects occlusions on accuracy reliability tracking results are nonnegligible. To address this issue, a modified multiple objects algorithm was proposed reduce loss caused by occlusions. The based detection results, in which motion states detected were determined. Further, Kalman filter employed predict trajectories, each trajectory uniquely matched object labeled with...

The estuarine area of Pearl River that has taken great changes in land cover since 1990 is a typical for studying the change surface temperature (LST). LST years and 2000 this was estimated from data Landsat TM/ETM+ band 6, respectively, three scales, corresponding to high, normal low ranges, were divided by robust statistical method. results show high range an increase 250 km2 compared with year 1990. urban‐used bare are main types constituting area.

To reduce the risk of traffic conflicts in merging area, driver’s behavior pattern was analyzed to provide a theoretical basis for control and conflict warning. The unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) used collect videos two different types zones: freeway interchange service area. A tracking detection model based on YOLOv5 (the fifth version You Only Look Once) Deep SORT constructed extract flow, speed, type, driving trajectory. Acceleration/deceleration distribution lane-changing were analyzed....

Field monitoring of the toxic organic compounds (PCBs, PAHs, organochlorine pesticides) in top sediments Pearl River Estuary and its up-streams were made. It was found that highest concentrations these occurred sediment sampled at Macau inner harbor (ZB013), which is a sink suspended fine particles transported from upstream waterways. Because affinity hydrophobic (PAHs, PCBs) for solid phase, particle depositions led to accumulation Macau. The atmospheric dry deposition may be another source...

Connected and automated vehicles (CAVs) represent a significant development in the transport industry owing to their intelligent interconnected features. Potential field theory has been extensively used model CAV driving behaviour its objectivity, universality, measurability. However, existing car-following models do not consider impact of time delays influence information from multiple ahead behind. This paper focuses on driving-safety risks associated with CAVs, aiming enhance vehicle...

In this paper, we develop a new transportation network redundancy measure by integrating the route diversity and spare capacity dimensions simultaneously, which have been demonstrated as two complementary of assessed separately in literature. Instead modeling separate measures with significantly different units scales, an integrative is beneficial for comprehensive comparison selection enhancement schemes. Specifically, represent adding virtual link directly connecting each...

Electric freight vehicles have become an important means of transportation in connected and automated environments owing to their numerous advantages. However, the generally short driving range electric (CAEFVs) does not satisfy growing transport demand. In this study, wireless charging technology is employed construct a complex scenario including urban roads dynamic facilities. A combination variable-scale elements consisting vehicles, roads, environment analysed hierarchically develop...

Large-scale coherent structures resulting from hydrodynamic instabilities can interact with turbulent swirl flames and lead to combustion instabilities. The present work investigates the impact of density stratification azimuthal velocity on growth in a convectively unstable flame. Flame structure flow field are measured by simultaneous hydroxyl planar laser-induced fluorescence stereoscopic particle image velocimetry (S-PIV) at repetition rate 10 kHz analyzed using spectral proper...

The distribution of passengers using city buses suggested that generally carry very light loads over appreciable periods operation. influences variations in tyre pressures with varying load on vertical acceleration and dynamic responses are investigated. A non-linear three-dimensional model an urban bus is employed to identify optimal corresponding different passenger loads, while ensuring comparable magnitudes static deflections minimise the risk heat build up under lower pressures. road...

With the widespread application of LiDAR and camera, integration camera has become an urgent issue. In this study, we proposed a optimal layout method for roadside camera. Firstly, experimental design phase took into consideration various scenarios, such as curved road sections gradient sections. Secondly, video data point cloud collected from different setups were subjected to object detection recognition using YOLOv5s weights PointPillars weights, respectively. These are applied under...

This study presents a multi-objective optimal framework for deploying traffic monitoring cameras at road networks. Compared with previous studies that focused on addressing single problem such as OD estimation, link flow observation, path reconstruction, and travel time this aims to address comprehensive management problem, including crash prevention, violation governance, efficiency improvement. First, potential principle selecting the location of deployment is determined, taking into...
