By exciting a broadband pulse in the time domain and performing fast Fourier transform on sampled data it is possible to obtain scattering parameters for broad frequency range with one single calculation. This known technique, valid non-dispersive waveguides, extended homogeneously loaded dispersive waveguides. We present the results of a field-based 3D time domain simulation high pincount board connector. The are crosstalk for large frequency range and field patterns inside structure at certain frequencies. computer code we use is based on Finite-Integration-Technique (FIT). scattering parameters in 0-3 GHz, reflection near-end ramp (both measurement simulation), obtained 3 GHz.
The simulation of electromagnetic fields inside a cylindrical cavity, which is connected by rectangular iris to standard waveguide presented. calculations for loaded and unloaded cases are based on finite integration method algorithm. results obtained agree closely with those measurements.
