The world's demand for energy is accelerating, while its hydrocarbon reserves are diminishing. Producers compelled to explore and produce oil gas in more challenging environments maximize recovery existing reservoirs. New technology has always been a key success. One such new seismic acquisition using ocean bottom station (OBS) nodes (Berg et al., 1994; Ronen 2003; Amal 2005; Docherty Granger 2005).
Qingzhuan dark tea polysaccharides (QDTP) have been complexed with Zinc (Zn) to form the polysaccharides-Zinc (QDTP-Zn) complex. The present study investigated protective effects of QDTP-Zn on ulcerative colitis (UC) in mice. UC mouse model was induced using dextran sodium sulfate (DSS), followed by oral administration (0.2 and 0.4 g kg
Summary In offshore peninsular Malaysia there are strings of major hydrocarbon bearing fields which affected by shallow gas clouds. This poses a problem in imaging using the P-wave data from conventional streamer or OBC 2C surveys suffer frequency dependent attenuation, multipathing, scattering, internal multiples, velocity inversions and mode conversions due to charged sediments. 2D–4C is proven be useful areas where 2D-PS-wave provides clearer image as compared 2D-P-wave imaging. Imaging...

A three component VSP experiment was carried out in the metasedimentary Whitewater group of Sudbury Structure. Processing data focused on velocity analysis, wavefield separation, shear‐wave waveform modelling, hodogram and integration surface‐seismic borehole geophysical data. Wavefield separation processing synthetic modelling resulted a realistic model corridor‐stacked compressional section correlates well with surface seismic reflection The shear wave provides an additional constraint...
Conventional method processes multi-component data from a flat datum. In time processing the statics corrections to datum by P and S wave replacement velocities may produce different datums for PP PS sections due unknown or inaccurate
Summary Shallow S-wave velocity model building is very important for land and Ocean Bottom Seismic PS data processing. Surface waves, propagating along the near surface, provide useful information shallow estimation. In this study, multi-modal surface wave inversion (MM-SWI) was used to build a high resolution recently acquired Node survey. Super gathers were constructed improve signal-to-noise ratio spatial of dispersion spectra. Auto-picking curves then implemented. To overcome strong...
Ocean Bottom Stations provide wide-azimuth multi-component data with great advantages for exploration, reservoir characterization, and identification of drilling hazards. However, due to the high cost deploying OBS nodes, large receiver intervals are used. In practice, poor illumination sparse receivers is a major problem. This problem particularly, but not exclusively, associated gaps in coverage shallow targets, greatly exasperated if some nodes fail. The same affects both ocean bottom...

Recently there were also LITHORPOBE related experiments including the regional high resolution reflection seismic surveys (1991) refraction (1992). space-borne SAR look direction bias correction integrated with other detailed...
For exploration in the Chepaizi area, Junggar Basin of Northwest China, lateral lithologic variations due to deltaic and fluvial sediments present major challenges characterization oil sand reservoirs. The reservoirs exist so-called “sweet spots”. However, conventional P wave is not able effectively distinguish true “bright spots” from false ones, which leads high drilling risk. example, a strong reflection amplitude observed target layer for Che89, highly productive well drilled 2006. But...

P023 A DISCUSSION ON THE SHEAR- TO COMPRESSIONAL-MODE (SP): THEORETICAL PRACTICAL AND ECONOMIC Abstract 1 While it is very common to acquire process and interpret compressional-mode (P) data that have been converted the shear-mode (S) reciprocal scenario S P (SP) uncommon. We discuss some of practical economic theoretical issues associated with SP mode. Since P-wave seismic standard within our industry will likely only be available when nine component are being acquired. The two main...
E011 A VELOCITY ANALYSIS PROCEDURE FOR MULTICOMPONENT DATA WITH TOPOGRAPHIC VARIATIONS Summary 1 We have modified the normal-moveout (NMO) equation for both P-wave and converted-wave (Cwave) data to handle surface elevation changes we implemented this in our velocity analysis NMO correction programs. For C-wave case also developed a new method that combines common conversion point (CCP) binning with set of trial γ (Vp/Vs) values thereby reducing errors introduced by approximate asymptotic...
