For the grid‐connected doubly‐fed induction generator (DFIG)‐based wind energy conversion system (WECS), many improved control algorithms have been developed for rotor‐side converter (RSC) to suppress overcurrents in under voltage dips. We describe an inertial rotation sensor with a 30-cm cylindrical proof-mass suspended from pair of 14 μm thick BeCu flexures.
