Abstract A new device termed “Optomagnetic Micromirror Arrays” (OMA) is demonstrated capable of mapping the stiffness distribution biomimetic materials across a 5.1 mm × 7.2 field view with cellular resolution. Abstract We report a large field-of-view and high-speed videography platform for measuring the sub-cellular traction forces of more than 10,000 biological cells over 13mm 2 at 83 frames per second. Our Single-Pixel Optical Tracers (SPOT) tool uses 2-dimensional diffraction gratings embedded into soft substrate to convert cells’ mechanical stress optical colors detectable by video camera.
