The stability of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) typically decreases with an increasing number defects, limiting the defects that can be created and catalytic other applications. Herein, we use a hemilabile (Hl) linker to create up maximum six per cluster in UiO-66. We synthesized UiO-66 (Hl-UiO-66) using benzene dicarboxylate (BDC) as 4-sulfonatobenzoate (PSBA) linker. PSBA acts not only modulator but also coligand enhances resulting defective framework. Furthermore, upon postsynthetic...

UiO-66 is regarded as an epitome of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) because its stability. Defect engineering has been used a toolbox to alter the performance MOFs. among most widely explored MOFs capability bear high number defects without undergoing structural collapse. Several representative works in field MOF-based defect are available based on UiO-66. In this review, more emphasis given toward construction catalytic sites by including all detailed synthesis procedures for inducing...

We present, for the first time, covalent triazine frameworks functionalized with acetylacetonate group (acac-CTFs). They are obtained from polymerization of 4,4′-malonyldibenzonitrile under ionothermal conditions and exhibit BET surface areas up to 1626 m2/g. The materials show excellent CO2 uptake (3.30 mmol/g at 273 K 1 bar), H2 storage capacity (1.53 wt % 77 a good CO2/N2 selectivity (up 46 298 K). enhanced value due presence dual polar sites (N O) throughout material. In addition,...

The differentiation between missing linker defects and cluster in MOFs is difficult, thereby limiting the ability to correlate materials properties a specific type of defects. Herein, we present novel easy synthesis strategy for creation solely "missing defects" by preparing mixed-metal (Zn, Zr)-UiO-66 followed gentle acid wash remove Zn nodes. resulting material has reo UiO-66 structure, typical well-defined clusters are thoroughly characterized, including low-pressure Ar-sorption,...

Abstract Soil saturated hydraulic conductivity ( K s ) is a key soil property that determines the hydrological cycle of check dam–dominated catchment areas. However, data are lacking due to difficulty directly measuring this variable in deep layers. In study, 45 profiles (0–200 cm) 15 dams three typical watersheds (Xinshui River, Zhujiachuan, and Kuye River) hilly gully region on Chinese Loess Plateau were selected, total 586 samples collected along profiles. In this paper, an epithermal neutron detector suitable for the Prompt Fission Neutron (PFN) uranium logging method is designed by Monte Carlo simulation. According to simulation results, composed of a 1mm cadmium (Cd) layer, 5mm high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and 3He tube sensitive neutrons. Through test in formations with different content, results show that content formation has obvious linear relationship E/T, detection limit can meet minimum standard ore detection. It meets design...

Soil and water conservation measures, especially reforestation check dam construction, have been progressively implemented on the coarse sandy hilly catchment region of Yellow River basin for several decades, climate conditions are also dynamic. Therefore, it is very urgent to understand how precipitation variation, land use changes dams affect soil erosion sediment yield in a large watershed.
