Cavitation erosion and jet impingement can result in a great loss of materials. NiTi alloy is very promising candidate to acquire cavitation resistance because its superelasticity. Due the high cost poor workability alloy, many people tried overcome such drawbacks by preparing coatings on basis deteriorating good properties as little possible. From aspect application coating, should be evaluated comprehensively. One these evaluations involves comparison NiTi. This evaluation has not been...
Abstract The nitinol coating against cavitation erosion was prepared by air plasma spraying and sealed with epoxy resin successfully. After the resin, pores cracks of were filled then cohesiveness between lamellae improved, hardness increased from 3.68 GPa to 7.49 GPa, energy recovery ratio (superelasticity) improved 41.9 % 49.0 toughness enhanced 0.011 0.045 GPa. During test, reduced resources absorbed impact micro‐jet or shock waves. Meanwhile, high superelasticity can help resist delay...
