Background: Hypertriglyceridemia is associated with increased cardiovascular risk and may be caused by impaired lipoprotein clearance. Angiopoietin-like protein 3 (ANGPTL3) inhibits lipase activity, increasing triglycerides other lipids. Evinacumab, an ANGPTL3 inhibitor, reduced in healthy human volunteers homozygous familial hypercholesterolemic individuals. Results from 2 Phase 1 studies hypertriglyceridemic subjects are reported here. Methods: Subjects >150 but ≤450 mg/dL low-density...

Abstract Mandibuloacral dysplasia (MAD) is an autosomal recessive disorder characterized by hypoplasia of the mandible and clavicles, acro‐osteolysis, lipodystrophy due to mutations in LMNA or ZMPSTE24 . Only six MAD patients are reported so far with limited phenotypic data available for them. Here, we report on two brothers (4 years 9‐month old) early onset whom thin skin was noted as 5 months age. Both had micrognathia, mottled hyperpigmentation, enlarged fontanelles but little evidence...

A main science goal for the Large Synoptic Survey Telescope (LSST) is to measure cosmic shear signal from weak lensing extreme accuracy. One difficulty, however, that with short exposure time (≃15 s) proposed, spatial variation of point spread function (PSF) shapes may be dominated by atmosphere, in addition optics errors. While errors mainly cause PSF vary on angular scales similar or larger than a single CCD sensor, atmosphere generates stochastic structures wide range scales. It thus...
