This letter presents an ultra-wideband low noise amplifier (LNA) using gallium-nitride (GaN) high-electron mobility transistors (HEMT) technology. A -3 dB bandwidth of 1-25 GHz with 13 peak power gain is achieved a modified resistive-feedback topology. To obtain such wide bandwidth, several enhancement techniques are utilized. An inductor connected to the source input transistor ensures good matching (|S <sub xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"...

This paper describes experimental results for an application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC), designed digital heart rate variability (HRV) parameter monitoring and assessment. ASIC chip measures beat-to-beat (RR) intervals stores HRV parameters into its internal memory in real time. A wide range of short-term long-term ECG signals obtained from Physionet was used testing. The system detects R peaks with millisecond accuracy, up to 2 min continuous RR interval data 4 histogram. prototype...

A robust high-accuracy analog-signal-processing 0.5-mum CMOS chip for real-time heart-rate (HR) extraction is presented. novel peak-detector architecture proposed and implemented to facilitate on-chip integration. The system capable of processing electrocardiogram (ECG) signals with a peak-to-peak amplitude as low 5 mV, without any prefiltering. Experimental results prerecorded ECG have demonstrated the obtained R-R interval accuracy on order milliseconds. was also used successfully extract...

Abstract Traumatic osteomyelitis with accompanying soft tissue defects presents a significant therapeutic challenge. This prospective, randomised controlled trial aims to evaluate the efficacy of antibiotic‐impregnated bone cement, flap coverage and negative pressure sealed irrigation in management traumatic complicated by defects. A total 46 patients clinically diagnosed were into control group ( n = 23) an observation 23). The underwent standard negative‐pressure lavage, while received...

Abstract This work was to investigate potential roles of HMGB1‐mediated ERK pathway in the healing process bone fracture. Rat tibial fracture models were established and divided into control (rats with normal saline), HMGB1 HMGB1), HMGB1+ PD98059 groups 1 mg/kg ERK1/2 inhibitor PD98059) 30 rats per each. The rats' observed by X‐ray films, morphological changes fractures HE staining, callus formation micro‐CT biomechanical test, expression osteogenesis‐related genes, ERK‐related proteins...

Laser-driven white light illumination is considered as the next generation of high brightness source. The most common way to achieve laser-based using a blue laser excite phosphor/ silicone converter (reference converter). However, relatively low thermal conductivity phosphor limits heat its surface and cannot be dissipated effectively. In this work, with copper sintering powder framework/paraffin (CPSF/P) embedded into phosphor/silicone proposed. As an internal transfer channel, framework...

Periodic motion, such as that resulting from cardiopulmonary activity, can be measured by direct-conversion microwave Doppler radar. In systems, motion is phase modulation and measurement sensitivity significantly affected noise amplitude sidebands in the local oscillator. Presented here are experimental results of heart rate measurements under various signal output power conditions, with consideration for impact respiration. Measurements were made using a custom compact quadrature direct...

Heart rate variability is a strong indicator of number medical conditions. Current HRV systems typically determine R-R intervals from pre-recorded ECG signals, which include large amount redundant data. In this paper we describe more efficient monitoring and assessment system on chip. By applying digital techniques to store the difference between every two adjacent in single-port synchronous, high-performance SRAM, up 24 hours continuous data can be stored chip with fixed resolution 1 ms....

Developing hydrogel artificial muscles to mimic the motion of natural have long attracted scientists from perspective materials science for potential applications in soft robotics. However, rational design with large stroke, rapid actuation speed, and high work capacity remains a major challenge. Herein, we reported two kinds chiral spring-shaped hydrogels that were prepared via consecutive shaping process (e.g., stretching, twisting, folding, coiling, fixing). By switching chirality coil,...
