A method to study isochoric compression mass densities relevant for direct-drive fast ignition schemes is presented. The based on the combination of one-dimensional radiation-hydrodynamic simulations using code MULTI-IFE [Ramis and Meyer-ter Vehn, Comput. Phys. Commun. 203, 226 (2016)] a particle swarm optimization technique [Kennedy Eberhart, in Proceedings ICNN'95 - International Conference Neural Networks (IEEE, Perth, WA, Australia, 1995), Vol. 4, pp. 1942–1948]. fuel optimized through...
Abstract We report on the energy deposition of ultrashort laser pulses with two different intensities 6 $$\hbox {TW cm}^{-2}$$ TW cm - 2 and 143 in polyvinyl chloride, using two-color pump-probe shadowgraphy. The interaction is imaged during pulse propagation into medium up to 200...
Abstract This paper describes Miconite (hydrated potassium, magnesium aluminosilicate) and explains the processability properties of Miconite‐filled propylene homopolymer. With particles averaging 2.5 44 microns, this study found compound processability, as given by its melt index, unchanged for filler loadings lower than 35%. Tensile strength original polymer doubled with addition first 10% stayed constant all tested up to 60%. modulus increased linearly loading. Elongation impact behavior...
We report on the commissioning of a full aperture backscatter diagnostics station for kilojoule, nanosecond high repetition rate L4n laser operating at wavelength 527 nm Extreme Light Infrastructure (ELI) - Beamlines, Dolni Brezany, Czech Republic. scattered back from laser-plasma interaction into cone final focusing lens is captured and split different channels to measure signatures plasma instabilities stimulated Brillouin scattering, Raman two plasmon decay with respect energy, its...
Abstract A new type of feeding system by an extruder‐feeder was utilized to pump high concentrations slurries into advanced biomass liquefaction reactor operating at pressures up 25 MPa and temperatures 400°C. The operability such the design criteria for this unit operation are described, operational data reported. Three types extruder‐feeders were used, many different feedstocks tested. proved be effective in direct process could prove applicable other processes where solids pumped, thus...
