ABSTRACT
Abstract The electrochromism of a water‐soluble naturally oxidized electrochromic polymer, ox‐PPE, is harnessed for rapid and facile bacterial detection, discrimination, susceptibility testing. ox‐PPE solution shows distinct colorimetric spectroscopic changes within 30 min when mixed with live bacteria.
