ABSTRACT
Abstract Zinc (Zn) and its alloys have recently gained research interest due to their good biosafety, biological function, biodegradability, formability. Zinc‐phosphate (ZnP) coating has been shown improve the corrosion resistance biocompatibility of Zn alloys. Here, a biodegradable ZnP‐coating on Zn1Cu0.1Ti (ZCT) membrane with high strength‐ductility mechanical stability, suitable degradation rate, effective antibacterial ability, excellent in vitro vivo cytocompatibility, osteogenesis is reported. The ZnP‐coated ZCT exhibits yield strength 264 MPa, ultimate tensile 312 elongation 36.0%, stability before after 30 d immersion Hanks’ AS solutions, all which are higher than those ZCT. ZnP shows deformation resistance, healing effect, bond substrate, meeting clinical contour shaping requirements. sample cell viability toward MC3T3‐E1 MG‐63 cells, osteogenic mitochondrial quality‐control properties sample. Using rat calvarial defect model, complete biosafety considerable performance. Overall, recommended as promising implant material for oral guided bone regeneration application.
