ABSTRACT
Abstract Aerogels with ultrahigh porosity and large specific surface area have demonstrated great potential for capturing volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Especially, aerogel fiber aggregates macropores formed by overlapping fibers mesopores in the might realize fast sorption kinetics high capacity simultaneously. However, how to develop fabrication large‐scale production of remains a challenge. Herein, generic sol‐gel centrifugal spinning (SCS) strategy rate capable reaching 700 m min −1 is developed producing fibers. The representative SCS made from aramid nanofiber (ANF) dispersion exhibits (313 2 g ) tensile strength (12.48 MPa). further applied fabricate various kinds fibers, including sodium alginate, cellulose, chitosan. ANF exhibit superior VOC adsorption 438.0 mg under an ultrafast gas flux 3.8 × 10 4 L −2 h , which also has satisfactory cyclic stability. This work not only develops powerful fabricating scale, but provides inspiration applying these dynamic removal VOCs other environmental protection fields.
