ABSTRACT
Abstract To restore the disordered endogenous gas levels is an efficient alternative for treatment of rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Both insufficient hydrogen sulfide (H 2 S) and excessive nitric oxide (NO) contribute to synovial inflammation. Herein, a new block polymer PEG 10 ‐ b ‐PNAPA 30 ‐PEG composed NO‐responsive monomer cysteine‐triggered H S donor, which can simultaneously scavenge NO release therapeutic RA treatment, reported. In vitro experiments demonstrate that exhibits synergistic effect on suppressing reactive oxygen species pro‐inflammatory cytokine production via NF‐ κ B signaling pathway. It leads polarization macrophages from M1 M2 phenotype. Moreover, released further restrains by expression iNOS. vivo with rat model show system markedly mitigates inflammation, osteoporosis, clinical symptoms rats, attributed combination therapy depletion. This work provides insight into gas‐related diseases.
