ABSTRACT
High-strength polyimide mats have been formed from electrospun nanofibers of a rigid-rod-like poly(p-phenylene biphenyltetracarboximide) (see Figure). Non-woven aligned tensile strength 664 MPa and modulus 15.3 GPa. These high-performance with excellent mechanical properties heat resistance are expected to be useful for applications such as protective clothing heat-resistant filters.
