ABSTRACT
Visible light is much more available and less harmful than ultraviolet light, but ultralong organic phosphorescence (UOP) with visible-light excitation remains a formidable challenge. Here, concise chemical approach provided to obtain bright UOP by tuning the molecular packing in solid state under irradiation of visible e.g., cell phone flashlight ambient conditions (room temperature air). The spectra exhibit an obvious redshift via incorporation halogen atoms tune intermolecular interactions. achieved through H-aggregation stabilize excited triplet state, high efficiency 8.3% considerably long lifetime 0.84 s. Within brightness 0.32 mcd m-2 that can be recognized naked eye, last for 104 s total. Given these features, phosphorescent materials are used successfully realize dual data encryption decryption. Moreover, well-dispersed nanoparticles prepared polymer-matrix encapsulation aqueous solution, their applications bioimaging tentatively being studied. This result will pave way toward expanding metal-free applications.
