ABSTRACT
A full-spectrum (300-700 nm) responsive porphyrin supramolecular photocatalyst with a theoretical solar spectrum efficiency of 44.4% is successfully constructed. For the first time, hydrogen and oxygen evolution (40.8 36.1 µmol g-1 h-1 ) demonstrated by without addition any cocatalysts. The strong oxidizing performance also presents an efficient photodegradation activity that more than ten times higher g-C3 N4 for phenol. high photocatalytic reduction oxidation arises from built-in electric field due to molecular dipoles electron-trapping groups nanocrystalline structure photocatalyst. appropriate band adjusted via highest occupied orbital lowest unoccupied energy levels gives rise thermodynamic driving potential H2 O2 under visible light irradiation. Controlling photocatalysts ordered assembly structure-designed organic molecules could provide novel approach design in environmental applications.
