ABSTRACT
Abstract Color‐tunable organic light‐emitting diodes (CT‐OLEDs) have a large color‐tuning range, high efficiency and operational stability at practical luminance, making them ideal for human‐machine interactive terminals of wearable biomedical devices. However, the device lifetime CT‐OLEDs is currently far from reaching requirements. To address this problem, tetradentate Pt(II) complex named tetra‐Pt‐dbf, which can emit efficiently in both monomer aggregation states, designed. This emitter has T d 508 °C intermolecular bonding energy ‐52.0 kcal mol⁻ 1 , improve its thermal/chemical stability. unique single‐emitter CT‐OLED essentially avoids “color‐aging issue” achieves span (red to yellowish green) external quantum (EQE) ≈30% 1000 cd m −2 as well an EQE above 25% 10000 . A superior LT 90 520,536 h functional luminance 100 over 20 times longer than state‐of‐the‐art CT‐OLEDs, estimated. demonstrate potential application such OLEDs devices, simple electromyography (EMG)‐visualization system fabricated using CT‐OLEDs.
