ABSTRACT
Abstract Graphene‐based materials (GBM) have outstanding properties that proven highly beneficial in several proof‐of‐concept investigations on their biomedical potential. They can be used as suspensions of nanosheets for nanomedicine purposes well components macroscale products medical devices or tissue engineering/regenerative medicine products. However, the clinical translation these preclinical concepts is hampered by incomplete understanding biocompatibility GBM general, and limited lack safety considerations most studies. In this review, main aspects to considered design biocompatible based interface with human body its fluids are outlined. Guidance overcome some unique challenges presented graphene provided, stressing need consider early possible phase candidate product raise chance translation.
