ABSTRACT
Abstract Pars plana vitrectomy plays an important role in treating serious ophthalmic diseases, which requires subsequent substitution of the natural vitreous. However, current substitutes are known for drawbacks instability, toxicity, and injection‐induced fragmentation, so there is a very urgent need novel artificial vitreous substitute clinical practice. In this study, DNA supramolecular hydrogel evaluated as potential substitute. It observed that exhibits relatively strong mechanical strength, shear‐thinning behavior, rapid recoverability, other physical properties similar to human body. The vivo experiments further prove injectability, excellent biocompatibility, stability. With support hydrogel, morphology basic functions operated eyes well recovered without obvious inflammation, demonstrate shows enormous
