ABSTRACT
Abstract Phase and defect engineering of the heterostructured MoS 2 @TiO nanoporous film is investigated to achieve a broad solar spectrum light absorption high water splitting efficiency. The phase transition from semiconducting 2H‐MoS metallic 1T‐MoS achieved by hydrothermal exfoliation treatment. Experimental studies elucidate that activity greatly improved forming along with increasing S‐vacancies because significantly enhanced surface plasmon resonance. mixed‐phase shows H yield rate 308 µmol h −1 cm −2 long‐term durability for 30 h, which superior state‐of‐the‐art catalysts splitting. This study offers universal efficient avenue rationalize plasmonic other energy environmental applications.
