ABSTRACT
Abstract The poor stability of lead‐free Cs 3 Cu 2 Cl 5 nanocrystals (NCs) is the main impediment for their broad practical applications. Here, a sol‐gel reaction using tetraethoxysilane (TEOS) as silica coating precursor to prepare @SiO x NCs proposed. Due efficient passivation and robust protection SiO shells on surface, solution films exhibit high photoluminescence quantum yield 98% 76%, respectively, improved against water heat. are then used fabricate warm white light‐emitting diodes (WLEDs), which show color‐rendering index 94 proper correlated color temperature 5049 K, maintain an excellent thermal (265–360 K) prolonged operating (380 h) stability. In addition, good light emission facilitates application in visible communication (VLC). VLC source demonstrates −3 dB bandwidth 420 kHz, achieved data rate system reaches 2.65 Mbps orthogonal frequency division multiplexing modulation with bit loading. As result, optical performance might promote development stable extend applications optoelectronics.
