ABSTRACT
Abstract Flexible films with strong and tunable chiroptical responses are highly desirable potentially applicable in 3D display, wearable, implantable devices, etc. Traditional organic or polymer‐based materials typically exhibit weak response. Recently, properties reported for some chiral inorganic nanostructures metasurfaces; however, the difficulties to fabricate control a feasible economical fashion on deformable substrate limit their practical applications. Herein, simple cost‐effective method is flexible polymeric giant optical activity ( g abs > 0.5) via aligning two anisotropic polydiacetylene (PDA) layers twisted fashion. The chromatic transition of PDA exploited prepare either photonic homostructures heterostructures extend spectral range, each featuring distinct frequency dependence adjustable activity. This allows demonstrate full color, high brightness, fast responsive, multiplex laser display based circular polarization. large response such films, combined tunability, flexibility, compatibility various choices also other applications as polarized luminescence encryption.
