Abstract Lead halide perovskites are widely used and intensively studied in optoelectronic devices due to their superior properties. However, the toxicity of Pb hinders industrialization perovskite devices. Sn has a similar electronic structure Pb, thus been as an alternative Pb‐based optoelectronics recent years. In this review, research progress luminescent properties synthesis methods 2D tin summarized. It is also highlight unique dual emission phenomenon summarize several types possible luminous mechanisms. At last, development based light‐emitting diodes overviewed, challenges oxidative inhibition efficiency improvement discussed. This review expected provide comprehensive perspective on diode applications perovskites.
