ABSTRACT
Abstract Energy conservation through sustainable energy technologies (SETs) in the construction industry is capturing considerable attention worldwide. However, presence of challenges makes SETs implementation difficult, and hence to increase effective adoption SETs, potential strategies are essential overcome challenges. The objective this study identify rank major sector its barriers. This proposes an integrated framework based on two methodologies, fuzzy analytical hierarchy process (FAHP) technique for order performance by similarity ideal solution (F‐TOPSIS), prioritize Initially, obstacles identified from a comprehensive literature review. Later, FAHP utilized obtain weights various barriers pairwise comparison, ranked using F‐TOPSIS. proposed methodology empirically applied developing countries. provides detailed decision‐making tool uptake SETs. Lastly, robustness evaluated with support sensitivity analysis. Results indicate that government economic most critical which can be cooperation relevant authorities, financial assistance, appropriate policies.
